內(nèi)容摘要:
The magnetic moments of the electron and the muon are rare examples in particle physics of quantities that canbe precisely measured experimentally and calculated theoretically. To the current level of experimental precision, the anomalous magnetic moment of the electron is mostly due to quantum electrodynamics corrections with a smallstrong contribution, while the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon is more sensitive to other interactions of theStandard Model. The contribution from strong interactions cannot be calculated theoretically using QCD perturbationtheory and represent the dominant sources of uncertainty in the theoretical prediction of the muon g-2 value. Whilethe 2020-21 gap between experiment and theory spanned several standard deviationsa possible signature of NewPhysics–recent advances have reshaped the picture. The current situation is discussed and the estimation of thelight-by-light contribution within the framework of the quark model is presented.
