內(nèi)容摘要：
Every connected graph is a metric space with respect to its path distance. Hence, we can define interesting classes of graphs in terms of the properties of their metrics. One of the widely studied classes of such graphs is the class of partial cubes. A wider class of $\ell_1$-graphs was introduced by Deza and it will be in the focus of this talk. We review the known results and mention a few open problems.

Sergey Shpectorov，英國(guó)伯明翰大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系教授，博士，他的研究興趣集中在代數(shù)、幾何和組合學(xué)領(lǐng)域。其研究的核心主題是群的作用，涉及幾何、圖論、黎曼曲面，以及最近的軸向代數(shù)，這些代數(shù)構(gòu)成了一個(gè)新穎且有趣的非結(jié)合結(jié)構(gòu)類(lèi)別，具有在物理學(xué)中的應(yīng)用。 他還對(duì)純粹幾何和純組合問(wèn)題感興趣，特別是圖幾何和建筑理論、代數(shù)圖論和度量圖論，包括部分立方體和具有良好度量性質(zhì)的類(lèi)似圖。發(fā)表了一百多篇論文。
